Jo trained at Elmhurst Ballet School and Laine theatre Arts where she graduated in 2006 as head girl and winner of the Eileen Rose cup for musical theatre having already secured her first west end job as swing in the original production of the multi Tony and Olivier award winning "The Producers" at The Theatre Royal,Drury Lane.

Jo continued with the production as it went out on its first national tour. When the show closed Jo then gained her first of many shows with the multi award winning choreographer Stephen Mear, the show was the five star critically acclaimed " Funnygirl" featuring the double Olivier award winning Samantha Spiro at Chichesters Minerva theatre under the direction of Angus Jackson,following this Jo secured "On the Town" the ENO version which was the first of many British productions to run at the beautiful Theatre du Chatalet in Paris and then the multi Olivier award winning production "Hello Dolly" at Londons Regents Park Open air Theatre under the direction of Tim Sheader. Jo then joined the cast of "White Christmas" for its third and then fifth year in the U.K. Which was under the direction of Walter Bobbie and another award winning choreographer Randy Skinner. Jo then returned to the West End understudying the roles of Charity Hope Valentine and The Frug Girl in "Sweet Charity" choreography by Stephen Mear and direction Matt white,towards the end of the run Jo was made dance captain before the show closed. Jo then was part of the hugely critically acclaimed again Olivier award winning production by Stephen Mear and Tim Sheader "Crazy For You" which spent the summer at Regents Park and transferred to the West End"

In 2010 Jo then started to work as assistant to the award winning and Olivier nominated choreographer Andrew Wright. Jo assisted on many auditions and workshops and productions such as Dick Whittington,By Jeeves, Once Upon A Time At The Adelphi and Barnum at Chichester Festival. Andrew then directed and choreographed the new musical "Happy days" and Jo was made associate on the show which toured the U.K. And Ireland. Upon happy days ending Jo then worked alongside Andrew again on the number one tour of Cameron Mackintoshs "Barnum" starring Brian Conley Jo was resident choreographer on the show which toured until 2015. Jo was then lucky enough to be asked to assist Stephen Mear on the brand new revival of "Chitty chitty bang bang" which opened at the West Yorkshire Playhouse. During the shows 18 month tour Jo was made associate choreographer and worked on many cast changes of the production including training stars such as, Jason Manford,Michelle Collins,Lee Mead,Martin Kemp,Phil Jupitus,Carrie Hope Fletcher,Claire Sweeney,Shaun Williamson and over 300 children. Jo has also helped other stars prepare for shows including Damien Lewis,Heidi Range,Louie Spence ,Cheryl Baker,Ben Freeman and Keith Chegwin.

Most recently Jo helped look after and also assisted choreographer Lee Proud on the critically acclaimed whatsonstage.com award winning "Sunset Boulevard" starring Ria Jones and Strictly favourite Danny Mac. Jo is also involved in the re working of Andrew Lippas "A Little Princess" with choreography and direction by Arlene Philips the show was showcased at The Southbank centre and starred Amanda Abbingdon,Danny Mac and an incredible cast. Jo has been lucky enough to assist the best choreographers in the business and through that has been trusted with her own work including many pantos for Qudos entertainment, cabarets at The Grosvenor hotel, arts club London and cafe de Paris and for three years she has been a regular choreographer for West End Bares. Jo has choreographed and directed many segments for E4's children's series "stageschool" and also worked as a mentor on cbbc's "All Over the Workplace". As a choreographer Jo has worked and trained students at all of the top colleges including D and B performing Arts, Laine Theatre Arts, Urdang Academy, London Studio centre, Collins performing arts, Elmhurst Ballet school, The MTA and AMTA in both London and New York.
Last year Jo choreographed "Tenderloin-A musical" at East 15 Acting School under the direction of Micheal Fry and has just choreographed the 2018 summer musical at Guildhall School , "Fiddler On the Roof" directed by Martin Connor.
